Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information is collected when you browse the website or contact us, why, who it is shared with, how it is secured and what rights you have. This policy refers to all genders equally.

Who we are and what this policy covers

The website zooz-tech.co.il (the "Website") is operated by Zooztech Ltd. (ZOOZTECH LTD), a company in the peax group (peax is a technology group listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, TASE) ("Zooz-tech", "we"). We are responsible for the personal information collected on the Website and act as the "controller" of the database within the meaning of Israel's Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (the "Law").

This policy applies to the use of the Website only. It does not apply to information we process on behalf of clients as part of projects and services. Such information is processed under the agreement with each client and according to the client's instructions, and the client is the controller of its information.

We comply with the provisions of the Law, including Amendment 13 to Israel's Privacy Protection Law, the Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 5777-2017, and the Privacy Protection Regulations (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad), 5761-2001. Our information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

What information we collect

Information you provide in the contact form

  • Full name, email address, subject and content of the inquiry (required fields).
  • Company name and phone number (optional).
  • Confirmation that you have read the privacy policy, and the time of the confirmation.

Please do not include sensitive information in your inquiry, such as medical information, ID numbers or payment details. It is not needed to handle your inquiry.

Information you provide in the satisfaction survey

  • Full name, company name, email address and your survey answers (ratings, recommendation, free-text answers). Phone and job title are optional.
  • Feedback for quotation: published on the Website only if you checked the consent to publish in the survey, and then with the name, job title and company name you provided.
  • Referral of a contact person to our company (optional): the name, company and contact details of the person you referred. We contact that person only if you confirmed in the survey that you agreed this with them.
  • Confirmation that you have read the privacy policy, and the time of the confirmation. The survey is sent to the company's mailbox and is not stored in a separate database on the Website.

Technical information collected automatically

  • Server logs at the hosting provider: IP address, date and time, the requested page, browser type and operating system. This information is used to operate the Website, secure it and troubleshoot problems.
  • Flood protection: when the form is submitted, the server stores the IP address as a one-way hash for no more than 10 minutes. This allows it to limit the number of submissions from the same address. The information is deleted automatically when that time expires.

We do not collect personal information from other sources for the purposes of the Website. We do not cross-reference the information with other databases for profiling.

Cookies and browser storage

The Website does not use cookies for advertising, tracking or statistics, and no third-party analytics tools are installed on it.

  • Local browser storage (sessionStorage): after you have seen the logo intro on the home page, a technical flag (zt-intro-seen) is stored in your browser so the intro is not shown again in the same browsing session. If you clicked "Pause animations", a flag (zt-still) is also stored to remember that choice for the same session. These flags contain no personal information, are not sent to us, and are deleted when you close the tab.
  • Google map on the About page: the map is embedded from Google. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and technical details, and may use cookies in accordance with Google's privacy policy. If you do not want this, you can use the address written on the page without loading the map, and block third-party cookies in your browser settings.

Why we use the information

  • To get back to you and handle your inquiry, and to manage the business relationship that results from it.
  • To operate the Website, secure it and prevent misuse, such as spam and flooding.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, and to protect our rights in the event of a dispute.

Marketing communications: we do not send advertising messages without prior explicit consent, as required by Section 30A of Israel's Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law, 5742-1982. If you agree to receive updates, you may withdraw your consent at any time, using the unsubscribe link in each message or by contacting us.

We do not make automated decisions that have a legal or material effect on you based on information from the Website.

Are you required to provide the information

You are under no legal obligation to provide us with information. Providing information in the form depends on your will and consent. Without the required fields (name, email, subject and content of the inquiry) and without confirming the privacy policy, we will not be able to receive your inquiry and get back to you. You can always contact us directly by email or phone.

Who the information is shared with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not transfer it to third parties for marketing purposes. The information is transferred only to parties needed to operate the Website and handle your inquiry, and they are bound by confidentiality and security obligations:

  • Hostinger: the Website's hosting provider (servers and server logs).
  • Microsoft: inquiries from the form are sent to the company's mailbox in Microsoft 365 and are stored there.
  • Google: only when the map on the About page is loaded, as described above.
  • Companies in the peax group: only if this is needed to handle your inquiry, and subject to this policy.
  • Competent authorities: if we are required to do so by law or court order.

Transfer of information outside Israel

Our service providers may store the information on servers outside Israel, for example in the European Union or the United States. Such a transfer is made in accordance with the Privacy Protection Regulations (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad), 5761-2001: to countries whose law provides adequate protection, or under a contractual undertaking by the provider to safeguard the information and not use it for any other purpose.

Information security

We take reasonable and accepted security measures, in accordance with the Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 5777-2017:

  • Encryption of all traffic to the Website over HTTPS (TLS), including HSTS enforcement.
  • A content security policy (CSP) and security headers that reduce code injection risks.
  • Access permissions to information only for staff who need it, with strong authentication on company accounts.
  • Storage of the form's connection details outside the Website's public folder, and restriction of the sending permission to a single mailbox.
  • Rate limiting of submissions and a bot trap (honeypot) in the form.
  • An information security management system certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, with continuous monitoring and improvement.

No security is perfect. If a severe security incident occurs, we will act in accordance with the law, including reporting to the Privacy Protection Authority and notifying those affected where required.

How long the information is kept

  • Inquiries from the form are kept for as long as they are needed to handle the inquiry and manage the business relationship, and after that to the extent required by law or to protect our rights. They are then deleted.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited period according to the hosting provider's policy, for security and operational purposes.
  • The hashed IP address used for rate limiting is kept for no more than 10 minutes.

Your rights

  • Access: to review the information about you that we hold (Section 13 of the Law).
  • Correction and deletion: to request that information that is not correct, complete, clear or up to date be corrected or deleted (Section 14 of the Law).
  • Removal from mailing lists: to ask not to receive marketing communications from us, and to withdraw consent you have given (Section 17F of the Law and Section 30A of the Communications Law).
  • Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw at any time your consent to the use of the information, where the use is based on consent.

You can exercise these rights by email to assafs@zooz-tech.co.il, or by mail to 25 Ofel St., Petah Tikva, with details that allow us to verify your identity. We will respond to the request within 30 days, and no later than the time limits set by law.

If you are not satisfied with how your request was handled, you may contact the Privacy Protection Authority.

Visitors from the European Union (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the provisions of the GDPR also apply to you. We process the information on the basis of the consent you gave in the form, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Website. In addition to the rights above, you are also entitled to restrict the processing, to object to it, to receive the information in a portable format and to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country. Israel is recognized by the European Union as a country with an adequate level of protection.

Minors

The Website is intended for organizations and professionals, and is not intended for minors under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information about minors. If we learn that a minor has provided us with information, we will delete it.

The Website contains links to third-party websites and services, such as LinkedIn, Waze, Google Maps and websites of the peax group. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we recommend reading the privacy policy of every website you go to.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when new services are added to the Website or when the law changes. The updated version will be published on this page with the date of the update. If there is a material change in the way information you have already provided is used, we will give notice of it on the Website before the change takes effect.
